To coincide with the release of the new “Ghostbusters” movie, Tokyo chain J.S. Burger’s Cafe has put together a crazy menu. Burgers in Tokyo will never be the same.
This crazy menu is below and on the left.
Green Ghost Shake
Slimer from Ghostbusters is clearly the inspiration for their bright green, apple & avocado flavored “Green Ghost Shake”. But this shake has a lot more in it…a big kiwi, mini burger-shaped candy, green tea ice cream, and even Dorito chips. It’s topped off with spinach and orange sauces.
Much like ghosts caught between two worlds, the Green Ghost Shake finds itself right in between being junk food and healthy. It’s tasty though.
The Star – G.B. Burger
But of course their “G.B. Burger” is the star of the show. A beef patty seasoned with black olive and anchovy paste is nuzzled with purple cabbage between jet black buns. A spicy blood-red ketchup mingles with white-as-ghost cream, which oozes out the sides of this towering burger. It’s a supernatural experience.
You can choose the level of ghost pepper you want in that ketchup – a little spicy, medium spicy, or crazy spicy (like I chose).
The Ghostbusters lineup also includes the “Black Chili Chips” (an appetizer) and the “Marshmallow Mad Burger” (a dessert).
Black Chili Chips
“Black Chili Chips” take inspiration from the Ghostbusters logo colors. Fried potato chips are covered in a spicy black squid ink (!) chili sauce, a white cheddar sauce, tomato puree, and beans.
Marshmallow Mad Burger
The “Marshmallow Mad Burger” is indeed mad. This dessert burger it held together by buns as white as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Tucked in between are fluffy, mega-sized marshmallows, yogurt ice cream, Oreo cookies, and on top, a raspberry and beet sauce.
This crazy Ghostbusters collaboration ends on Sept. 30th, 2016…make sure to go J.S. Burgers Cafe before then!

All pictures are from J.S. Burgers Cafe in Shibuya, when it was located on the 1st floor of the PARCO department store. They’ve moved to a new location right around the corner, as Parco Department store closed in September 2016 (for 3 year renovations). J.S. Burgers Cafe is also in Harajuku, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Tachikawa, and Ebina!
