Kageyama (鶏白湯 蔭山 高田馬場店) is an excellent choice when it comes to Takadanobaba ramen. Their showpiece is a fusion tori paitan ramen (rich chicken ramen). It’s savory, thick, and like a cream of chicken soup.
Takadanobaba Ramen - Fusion Tori Paitan
Kageyama’s tori paitan is an example of East meeting West. It’s unmistakably ramen, yet by the final spoonful it leans almost into cream-of-chicken territory. Black pepper and crunchy garlic chips scattered on top push this unusual but harmonious balance even further.

There’s even lettuce floating in the broth, soaking up that rich chicken flavor. You’re also served a slice of lemon on the side, which cuts through the richness and resets the palate, subtly shifting the flavor as you go.

Lastly, a side of rice can help you mop up any leftover broth.
Hazelnut Tantanmen
Don’t tell anyone, but I’m actually a bigger fan of their hazelnut tantanmen.

Tantanmen usually leans on sesame or peanuts, but Kageyama takes a different route, using hazelnuts instead. The result is a spicy broth with a gentle, buttery sweetness that feels both familiar and unexpected.
Wrap-up
Kageyama is one of the more popular ramen shops in Takadanobaba, so a bit of a wait isn’t unusual.

That said, no matter what you order, you’re in for a treat.
